Hey ya’ll…I’m Kendall! I’m a business major (for now!!) from right here in Columbia, SC. I was actually born in Red Springs, NC, grew up in Florence, SC, and have lived in Columbia for the past 5 years. I have one older brother, Kyle, who graduated from South Carolina in 2004.
I chose USC because I love the location! Living in Columbia for the past few years, I have really grown fond of the city. Although I had doubts about going to school so close to home, I have now found out that it has its definite strengths. Columbia’s a big, capitol city with a small town’s atmosphere.
Now, let’s begin the real ‘About Me’ section. I say this because when asked to complete the task of writing about oneself, it’s easy to end up with boring biographical facts no one really cares about. So, here we go…this is me! I love music. (“One good thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain.” -Bob Marley.) I love all kinds, but especially classic rock, and Led Zeppelin is my favorite band (yeah, Jimmy Page). I’m practically obsessed with Welch’s Grape Juice and my Me-Ma’s (that’s my grandma) grits. Being a true southern girl, how could I not be, right? I love sports, and have played just about everything: softball, basketball, gymnastics, track & field (my event was pole-vaulting), dancing, and cheerleading. My favorite movie is the 1971 classic (in my opinion) Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. (“A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.” –Willy Wonka) I enjoy going to the beach and doing pretty much anything outdoors: hiking, white-water rafting, etc.
I hope my blog allows all you readers out there to get a feel of what life as a sophomore is all about at USC. Feel free to comment and ask any questions you have, and I’ll do my best to help out! Enjoy….GO GAMECOCKS!
